All are invited to celebrate Domestic Violence Intervention Program's 45th anniversary and new shelter opening with a Ribbon Cutting! Meet the people behind the business, hear about their milestones throughout the years, and support an organization that is growing and investing in our area.
For 45 years the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) has provided comprehensive support and advocacy to victim-survivors, focusing on immediate and long-term safety, empowerment, dignity, and hope. DVIP provides free and confidential services to victim-survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, stalking and human trafficking to individuals in Southeastern Iowa. All services are free and confidential, including safety planning, peer to peer counseling, support groups, youth activities, resource gathering, emergency sheltering, housing support, mobile advocacy, pet sheltering within their emergency shelter and advocacy within justice, social services, and medical systems.
DVIP will be holding a 45th anniversary celebration following the public ribbon-cutting ceremony. It will be a ticketed event from 5 pm - 7:30 pm, at the North Ridge Pavillion in Coralville, IA.
Light appetizers from DVIPs partner restaurants; New Pioneer, Reds Alehouse, Graze, and Deluxe Bakery, as well as drinks from Best Case Wines, Fireside Winery, and North Dodge Hy Vee.
