Join us Friday\, June 11 for a day of service. There will be two projects available\, one indoor and one outdoor. All participants will need to register in advance. Following the service projects\, there will be a celebration of CLP's 30th Birthday\, courtesy of our sponsor West Bank! Registration is limited\, and Day of Service participants receive first access. We will have two project locations to choose from: The North Liberty Community Pantry will have two volunteer task opportunities: one working outside (weather permitting) weeding\, watering and harvesting vegetables from the Growing Together Garden the other task will be restocking pantry shelves\, working on repackaging items\, cleaning and sanitizing.United Way will lead an indoor\, less physical project with safe distancing and precautions building Student Kits at the North Liberty Rec Center:Literacy Kits contain a children's book and an activity related to the book to make reading fun. Volunteers complete the literacy kits by making the activity (includes coloring\, cutting\, pasting\, etc) to go with the children's book.Math Kits are focused on helping kids with basic math skills\, including identifying numbers as values and using base 10 for math problems. Volunteers complete the kits by assembling the activities (cutting\, coloring\, counting\, etc).Please RSVP for the project you'd like to participate in.
